In addition to leading his own outstanding band ‘The Banger Factory’, Kavuma has featured as a guest soloist alongside Wynton Marsalis and his Jazz at Lincoln centre orchestra, as well as touring extensively with the legendary Malian singer-songwriter Salif Keita. Kavuma’s voice is anchored firmly in the African American hard-bop tradition whilst simultaneously being unflinchingly contemporary.

Joe Webb Trio

Virtuoso pianist Joe Webb is a leading force on the U.K jazz scene today. Hugely in demand as a sideman with the likes of Rob Luft and Adrian Cox, as well as being an integral member of the Kansas Smitty’s house band, tonight Webb showcases his own trio as they present a programme of music drawing inspiration from their great hero, the incomparable Art Tatum. Joined by a stellar rhythm section of Dave Archer (guitar) and Will Sach (double bass), this special concert from one of the U.K’s brightest stars is not to be missed.
