Steve Waterman Quartet perform the music of Miles Davis Plus pre-performance discussion on the making of KIND OF BLUE

Steve Waterman is one of the top British jazz trumpet players both at home and on the international scene. He began his career while studying at Trinity College Of Music, and since then has worked regularly on the British, European and International jazz scene. The concert will be a celebration of the life and work of Miles Davis, focusing particularly on his original compositions as well as the seminal Kind of Blue album.

Featuring Steve Waterman – trumpet , Karen Sharp – tenor sax, Nick Weldon – piano, Marianne Windham – bass, Felix Weldon – drums

Kind of Blue was trumpeter Miles Davis’ all-time best seller and one of the most (if not the very most) revered albums in jazz history. Renowned Penguin Guide to Jazz and BBC writer BRIAN MORTON will discussing his recent book which explores the making of this iconic jazz album, with a player’s perspective from Steve Waterman.
