Dee Byrne

Dee Byrne is a saxophonist, composer and improviser based in London. An active figure in the London/UK creative scene, Dee is involved in various original jazz and improvising ensembles, notably her own quintet Entropi, a vehicle for exploring the relationship between freedom and structure within the jazz/improvised music idiom. The definition of entropy is: ‘lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.’ Through her compositions, the ensemble navigates themes of space-gazing, life pondering and risk-taking. Entropi released its second album ‘Moment Frozen’ on Whirlwind Recordings on 29th September 2017 at Kings Place with an accompanying UK tour.
