Elise Lorraine returned to London in July 2016 after a 25-year stint in Amsterdam and other European cities. Her distinctive, intimate and characterful vocal style surprises and delights even the most hardened jazz audience. Her voice has been described as ‘warm’, ‘mellifluous’, ‘rich and vibrant’, and her repertoire reflects her predilection for everything from modern jazz, to crazy modern opera, to free improvisation, as well as unexpected versions of songs by artists such as John Mayer, Joni Mitchell and Esperanza Spalding. Elise also works as a vocal coach and has many years experience giving workshops in performance and presentation techniques.
