Karl Charity

Karl studied trumpet at The Royal College of Music and spent many years playing in ‘pit bands’ for musical shows. Karl has played in all types of bands and ensembles, in the west end and around the world, finally arriving, inevitably, at jazz. Singing happened in 2011 when thinking about putting together a Chet Baker set. Next, was finding the right songs, and then some places that would let him sing! Now living in Surrey, Karl’s a London boy, born in what’s now called The Lanesborough Hotel, Hyde Park Corner, way back when it was St George’s Hospital.
