Drummer Stu Butterfield has been a well established and highly regarded player on the UK scene since the late sixties. Despite a lengthy period away from music, he is back with a vengence!
Since 1999 he has been part of The Henry Lowther-Jim Mullen Quartet, which also features bassist Dave Green, and which recorded Fungii Mama in 2002 and toured nationally to great success.
He is now a regular feature and force behind the weekly Thursday night jazz sessions at Karamel in north London.
