The season finale at Fleet Jazz features an international double headline billing, as multiple British Jazz Award Winner and virtuoso alto saxophonist Alan Barnes joins forces with internationally–acclaimed alto saxophonist Greg Abate.
Alan Barnes combines a formidable virtuosity with a musical expression and collaborative spirit that have few peers, and New Yorker Greg Abate is considered one of the best post bebop alto saxophonists today. With Craig Milverton on piano, Marianne Windham on double bass, and Steve Brown on drums, this is an outstanding evening of world-class jazz, delivered with great humour. Highly recommended.
