Tori Handlsey Trio: Dorothy Ashby tribute gig
Contemporary, electric-harp led trio which draws upon a myriad of rock, jazz, reggae and latin influences, taking the harp into a new context, using FX pedals and showcasing an entirely unique sound alongside two of the most creative, ground-breaking leaders on their instruments, Ruth Goller & Moses Boyd with Special Guest on vocals Sahra Gure. Two sets will be played on the night, one of Dorothy Ashby and one of Tori’s original compositions.

Binker and Moses’ new release Journey to the Mountain of Forever is a story album on two discs: the first features the duo on their own while for the second they are joined by saxophonist Evan Parker, trumpeter Byron Wallen, harpist Tori Handsley and drummer Yussef Dayes.
